About Sensei CHelle
Sensei Chelle is a Black belt-4th Dan in traditional Jiu-Jitsu with over 40 years of experience teaching Jiu-jitsu and Ladies Self Defence. She has represented England , is the secretary for Jiu-jitsu International and is a well-established face of Jiu Jitsu in the UK.
Sensi is passionate about sharing her knowledge and empowering students to become confident and skilled in martial arts and self defence.
Journey
Chelle started to learn Jiu-jitsu in her teens with her siblings, as her brothers were attacked and mugged in their local area of east London. She loved it and trained every day, being one of the only women training at the time, she had to work extra hard to gain respect. She travelled around Europe representing England, teaching and taking part in displays.

When the martial arts commission came together to design a course especially for women, Chelle was one of the first instructors to learn this and has been teaching it for the last 40 years.

recent years
Chelle had a break from training whilst she raised her four daughters, and opened her own club in Woodford, East London / Essex, teaching children Jiu-Jitsu.
As the years passed, she gained a lot of experience and a strong passion for teaching and empowering women and girls to be strong and independent.

With a recent rise of violent crimes against women and girls becoming a crisis in the UK, Chelle knew she had to share her passion with more people, and so began Sensei Chelle LTD.
The traction came almost immediately, with her social media pages going viral and being asked to appear on ITV and GB News within the first couple of months!
Chelle and her team are on a mission to empower every individual with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to defend themselves effectively.
